Sue Wells is an independent consultant on coral reefs and marine protected areas who has worked for organisations including WWF, Greenpeace, the European Union, and the World Conservation Monitoring Centre (Cambridge). She co-authored the IUCN Invertebrate Red Data Book, the three-volume Coral Reefs of the World (1988) and, with Nick Hanna, The Greenpeace Book of Coral Reefs (1992).
